By Meghan: Unfoldment is the process of evolving by returning to the truth of who you are. As you begin to embody your true, authentic soul signature, what happens as a byproduct is growth. You begin to refine and expand that signature now that you have tapped into it. Like a flower that blooms, our evolution moves in waves and cycles. It can seem as though nothing is happening for a long period, then boom, suddenly you find your inner space rapidly changing. Much of this process cannot be controlled, and it happens outside of the awareness of the conscious mind.
You can become conscious of this process, but trying to control it through desire or ego can stunt what is occurring. As each process is unique, it can also be hard to explain in ways that other people can understand. When you are in the flux of growth and everything is changing within and around you, you can trust that there is a much deeper process occurring. When you see the change externally, there has already been something long brewing out of sight. The changes happening within the self, at the more subtle levels, begin to ripple out to become apparent. Throughout our whole life, there is an underlying current that brings all events and situations together.
One stream. Every single thing you have experienced is connected in one way or another. Part of your unfolding. This continues through a single life, but also through all lifetimes, and through all other expressions of being that we take on within infinity.
Through unfolding, you discover more of who you are. You begin to discover that you are a being that is far more vast than what can even be contained in a vessel of bone and blood. You are more than the vehicle you are driving. Only through returning to the truth of who you are, can you begin to access this soul memory and the library of all you have been. In order to come back to who you are, however, you also have to shed all that is not you. Everything you have been programmed to believe about yourself by the larger culture. By the school system, the government, the medical establishment, scientific dogma, your parents, and even your ancestral lineage. We take on so many different energies and ways of being that do not match up with our own unique signature, in an effort to fit in and to be accepted by others. Acceptance is a core need of the human being, to belong somewhere and to be part of a tribe. But first and foremost, acceptance of the self must take place. When this occurs, the tribe will appear.
Like a snake, you must slough away old skins of selves that were not true. So that you can look in the mirror and recognize yourself. So that you can look inside and be willing to face all that arises within you. Fear is the greatest thing that keeps people from authenticity. The fear of standing out, or of being empowered. Believe it or not, the majority of people are actually afraid of their own true power. Not the power over others, but sovereign power that comes through actualization of potential. The power over self. A power that can only be accessed through the process of unfolding. This is not a quick process. It is not something that can be forced. You cannot prod your flower open before it is ready. If you were to do this in nature, the flower would die. There is a lesson here about moving alongside the currents of life, to take things in stride and to be able to meet the experiences as they come.
When you are present to what is occurring around you, it is easier to maintain alignment with yourself. Keep in your heart that every experience contributes to something much greater than the experience itself. Even the smallest actions, such as doing a selfless favor for someone else, can have unseen repercussions. But this goes for all actions. All are either able to contribute to the process of unfolding or delay it, and sometimes the conscious mind cannot possibly distinguish. The only thing to do then, is trust. Wherever you are within your own journey as a soul, there is a reason for it.
Love and Light,
