By Anastasia: Have you ever wondered why you might feel drained after being with certain people after gatherings or in the workplace? Can you relate to the experience of not being able to get away from your family members in your own home? Experience tells us when we have not created a sacred space around us our energy can be drained. We are vibratory beings, doesn’t it make sense you would feel like this if you don’t create a sacred space around you? When you go to a museum or a park and you see beauty that is held and revered, yes? In an unspoken and sometimes profound way, your body takes in that experience and fills you up. Wouldn’t it be great to be able to feel like that all the time while having a strong shield of love and compassion that is constantly washing over you?
Your energy is precious and you need to maintain a constant steady flow of your own thoughts and feelings circulating through and around you. Not all of us are aware that we take on others’ energy just by being near them. This is why it’s important to do this beautiful and simple visualization to assist you in maintaining being in center at all times. This is possible with this very simple yet fulfilling exercise:
Imagine you are standing in a clear translucent bubble, you can see out and you are safe in this beautiful bubble you are creating. Now choose a color if you like and commit that color to memory. This is the beginning of you creating a “Psychic Sacred Space”. This is one of the simplest ways you can protect yourself when you are in a crowd or a room with people whom you may not be feeling comfortable with and or people you just need to block their energy from coming through to you.
This bubble is about 6 feet out from your heart center in all directions around your body. Knowing this is key for this is a reminder to yourself to say “shield up” when you sense your space being encroached upon or someone is trying to take control of a situation in a business meeting or grocery store! I have stopped counting how many times my clients have reported back to me when they have used this technique in their lives and how great they feel after being in situations that would have been stressful in the past and because of this simple exercise they feel grounded, centered and refreshed. On a positive note this bubble can create a sense of peace in any given situation. If you are feeling out of sorts or anxious, calling yourself to take a moment and acknowledge you have a safe place to step into at any given time is a very valuable tool to know! Especially since you created it and you know how you will feel when you drop into this space and breathe… Once you practice this exercise of stepping into your bubble this will come so naturally to you that you won’t even know you are in it most of the time. When one starts with the internal exercise of visualizing yourself in your sacred space then you can continue to manifest sacred spaces externally everywhere you go. These Sacred spaces can come in forms of alters and grouping of material things that are special and hold deep meaning or value to you.
Many of you already have beautiful alters filled with photos of loved ones, mementos and herbal remedies, flowers and candles. All of us, when we take pause and stop the hustle and bustle of life, can take a moment to tap into the sacred and enjoy the beauty of the sacred space around you, while this calm energy will continue to flow to all those you come into contact with. You can always tell when a person has done their inner work by the peace that is projected from their being. This is also a fun and fulfilling exercise to do with your children if they are having issues with being treated poorly at school and need to learn how to keep healthy boundaries around themselves in the world. This gives your child not only a playful way of maintaining control and strength but a true way of being able to stand up for themselves in a given situation.
Everyone wants a safe place to be and being able to create a sacred space around you physically or imaginary is one of the most valuable ways of moving creatively in the world.
