The Joy Of Christmas

By Ann: Merry Christmas everyone! I ask the Angels to look after you all. We have all been through some rough years. For those who are alone at Christmas or grieving over a lost loved one. I understand how you feel, you need to walk in another person’s shoes to understand the emotion. I am here to say my heart and warmth and love goes out to you all.

The joy of Christmas is knowing that God sent his son to earth to be a saviour for all mankind, to show how to be united with God for eternity. God loved the world so much that he sent his only son to die for mankind so their sins could be forgiven. Christmas is a time to remember this act of love from God. It is a time to remember and reflect on Jesus’s life and his teachings on earth.

Christmas is celebrated by people of all religions, whether Christian or non-Christian, whether you believe in God or not most people celebrate Christmas all over the world. It is a time for families and friends to be together and to reflect on the teachings of Jesus. He taught kindness and forgiveness along with joy and to be peaceful with each other. This is a time to have a giving spirit by giving presents to show generosity not by the money spent, but from our hearts to say thank you. There is more happiness in giving than receiving, Jesus taught this. This is a time to remember God’s goodness to remember the good things we have in life and God’s promises to mankind. It is a time to remember the selfless life Jesus lived and the miracles he performed to help people. He reflected God, His father’s personality, and everyone comes to the father through Jesus. Joy in Jesus teachings can give people joy by giving them hope knowing there is more to life as we know. Unhappiness today was not God’s purpose or plan, and Jesus showed the true joy of life. There is joy in eating and drinking and having the necessities of life. The greatest joy is being aware of your spirituality and knowing God. Learning to be at one with each other and nature will bring you closer to your creator.

The joy of Christmas is to remember Jesus’ birth and the angels rejoicing in heaven at this special moment and the impact this birth had on the whole world and to reflect on Jesus’ life. Christmas to children means that Santa Claus will bring them presents. This can be a time to teach your children the spirit of giving and remembering how God sent the greatest gift to mankind in the form of his son and the love God has for all children and all people and how Jesus dedicated his life doing God’s will.

This can be a time for children to learn how to be thankful and grateful and respectful to God and Jesus and their parents and to show love to one another. Christmas has become a very commercial time of year, so we shouldn’t lose the real meaning of how Jesus was born in a humble barn and grew to be a great man and how he died for all people to open the way to everlasting life. This is a time of joy because he willingly did this knowing he would be resurrected to life in heaven, which was a sacrifice he was greatly rewarded for. Therefore, we are joyful in knowing the love he had for everyone.
