By Ann: Being mentally strong is important by not complaining about the problem, instead try to solve it. Complaining to others drains your energy. Don’t let other people’s behavior control your mood and emotions because you are in control of you and your thoughts. Don’t give into guilt trips and stay silent and don’t blame anyone for your behavior, instead, have boundaries and don’t let anyone mentally cross them.
Be forgiving and believe it or not by holding on to grudges only hurts you, not the other person. You choose to let it go and build a bridge and turn the page and move on.
Overseeing your life is like a pilot or driver who oversees a vehicle, and you are responsible for yourself. Once your workday has finished, give yourself a break and occupy your mind and body with things in life that you enjoy doing. Don’t be a victim and look for sympathy, take control and own your decisions you make in life, by not saying others made you do it or you felt obliged because this makes you look like a victim. You have choices, and if you decide to do or not do something accept this as your own choice. Be independent and have your own opinions and know your own self-worth and don’t be a people pleaser. If you choose to please someone, it is because it was your choice not out of guilt, and you will feel more empowered. Learn to accept criticism to a point while still maintaining your dignity and self-worth.
Don’t be afraid to be an individual even if this means being a bit different. You do not have to be a follower, instead know your own ethics and morals and stand up for yourself. If you follow these few simple rules and guidelines in the workplace and your personal life, you will feel better and have your own power within. Learn in life to not rely on others telling you what to do, if it doesn’t feel right make your own decisions and stick to them even if you lose a friend, which means they were not really your friend to start with. Learn to say no sometimes before you act and think about the consequences which you must live with, no one else really cares about your wrong actions. Some people need to feel powerful by having followers and a strong person does not need to be a follower to be accepted. You don’t need to be a leader either, if you know how to lead yourself in the right direction because you have to live with the outcome of your decisions.
Staying humble is important, which is not a weakness but a strength. Most powerful people are proud, and this can be dangerous, so remember everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses and this shows respect and trust to others. This is especially so in the workplace if you are a manager in a position of power, to respect others and be fair and others will automatically respect and trust you in return. Having your own confidence will lead to true happiness and balance in your life and help you not to always question yourself. If you are criticized, learn to take it in a positive way to help you to better yourself.
People in life will always challenge you and you must learn how to accept this without it draining your power. You might have been abused or put down as a child or teenager in some form, and you can rise above this by telling yourself you can and by not believing the lies told to you. Everyone has a right to be happy and do well in life regardless of what anyone tells you. Weak people feel the need to be a bully and put others down, so just remember you are better than that and can rise above their empty words and actions and choose your companions wisely and choose situations you put yourself into which can lead to danger or a safe place. It’s all up to you to use your mental capacities and don’t let others control your life and happiness. Be around people who truly care about you and have your best interests at heart and love you.
Love and Light,
Ann
