By Edwina: I was recently surfing the web, when I stumbled upon a video depicting people following, what appeared to be a random path through London, U.K. The walk included rules the group had to stick to, which were as follows.
1) Roll dice at all crossroads leaving the direction of the walk to “chance”
2) Let go of any need to control the outcome.
3) Trust your intuition.
4) Never second guess your intuition.
5) Be open to experiencing synchronicities.
As it turns out, this new walking method is ever becoming more popular! They are known as ‘Synchronicity Walkers’ and on this particular video, they were following Tesla’s numbers 3, 6, 9. For those of you who don’t know; it is believed certain frequencies are regarded as very positive energies good for well-being. The groundbreaking/world-renowned inventor Nikola Tesla once said:
“If you only knew the magnificence of the 3, 6 and 9, then you would have the key to the universe.”
It is certainly a number worth typing into your search engine. You will find lots more information people have contributed and much of it scientifically documented. With this all in mind, the video I watched, plays out and the path the Synchronicity Walkers are guided down has the number 9 re-occurring on almost every corner! This, according to the organizer is proof they’re taking the right path of synchronicity.
So what is it about numbers which makes them appear, to some as special, beyond coincidence and even divine?
In Numerology, the number 9 is represented by Spiritual Laws of the Universe; notions of eternity, faith and love resonate within the numerical 9. The number 3 implies creativity, the divine trinity found in many religions and cultures around the world. The number 6 means balance and above all else; unconditional love! It is certainly a lovely idea; numbers are more than just numbers but we need proof right?
For this we must go back in time to the age of Greek philosopher and mathematician; Pythagoras. He is heralded as the pioneer of modern-numerology, which goes as far back as Babylon! For Pythagoras and others like him, they went beyond the modern methods of today’s mathematicians. Philosophy and Math always went hand-in-hand with one another. Is it possible by following a different approach to modern methods of numbers, we can tap into a valuable sources of knowledge? Instead of using numbers as inanimate ingredients but as live characters, full of emotion and personified by their numerological identities.
Pythagoras was a man of intelligence and creativity, his view of the universe was, its’ entirety could be expressed through numbers!
There is however, another Mathematician, who lived closer to present day and shared a similar affinity with numbers. His name was Srinivasa Ramanujan. It should be noted his contributions to the world of mathematical conundrums once considered impossible to solve, became his story of success. Where others in the elite had failed, Ramanujan bought solution. This young man would find his destiny lead him to Cambridge University, even though he had had no formal education! His training with numbers came from one source, similar to a monk aspiring to attain enlightenment.. solitude. Indeed, this unique individual highlights a perhaps forgotten approach. Traditional sciences may use numbers as a tool of measure, etc. But perhaps traditional spiritualists/alternative minds should start to concern ourselves with the power of numbers. After all, we live in a world built on sacred geometry, we only have to go outside into nature to discover this.
“An equation means nothing to me unless it expresses a thought of God.”
-Srinivasa Ramanujan
