By Ernst: Move away from your head and into your heart. It sounds simple enough. Just pause your thoughts for a moment and connect with your heart.
Easy, right? Until another thought arises, and you find yourself back in your head.
Transitioning from your head to your heart – Why is it so crucial?
We’ve grown up in a beautiful country with access to quality education. Yet, there’s one lesson many of us haven’t learned: listening to our hearts and feelings. Instead, we’ve been trained to rely on science, facts, and statistics to navigate our lives.
We’ve become accustomed to living from our heads.
In doing so, we’ve forgotten that we’re naturally connected to a higher source of wisdom. We can tap into this wellspring of wisdom through our hearts – the gateway to our intuition and spiritual guidance, our connection with the Universe!
When we tune into the heart’s vortex, we gain access to true wisdom, make informed choices, and receive insights for the Highest and Greatest Good.
In simpler terms: it’s time to shift from overthinking to feeling!
When do you find yourself trapped in your head?
To transition from your head to your heart, it’s crucial to recognize when you’re stuck in your head. Awareness is key to breaking free!
You’re stuck in your head when your mind is buzzing with thoughts. One thought leads to another, forming a continuous stream. Some effortlessly slip into this pattern even during conversations.
It’s not inherently bad; it’s just how our minds operate.
Recognizing when you’re caught up in your thoughts empowers you to break free. You can pause, say STOP, and choose a different path – one that leads to your heart.
When are you anchored in your heart?
You’re anchored in your heart when you’re fully present in the here and now.
You’re engaged in active listening, focused on the person in front of you rather than formulating your response.
As you stroll through the forest, you’re attuned to the sensations: the earth beneath your feet, the rustle of leaves in the breeze, the subtle signs of wildlife.
Being present in your heart means you’re centered, focused solely on the present moment. Past and future fade into insignificance; only the present matters.
And in this state, clarity emerges. Your attention shifts to what truly matters: the beauty surrounding you, the connection with others, and the whispers of intuition.
How do you cultivate this profound connection with your heart?
For some, it comes naturally; for others, it’s a journey of discovery and practice.
Here are some tips to guide you along the way:
• When you notice your thoughts racing, say STOP. Consciously interrupt the pattern to step out of your head.
• Focus on your breath. Count each inhale and exhale, or simply observe the sensation of air flowing through your body. This helps break the cycle of thoughts.
• Place your hands on your heart. By doing so, you establish a conscious connection with your heart, anchoring your awareness in this vital center. Start with your left hand, representing the emotional side.
• If you’re visually inclined, try this visualization: Imagine yourself in your mind, facing an elevator. The doors open to reveal a single button adorned with a radiant heart symbol 💖 Press it, and the elevator descends slowly, bringing you closer to your heart. Step out into a space of love and embrace the warmth that surrounds you.
Embrace these practices, and allow the love within your heart to guide you on your journey.
