Michael The Archangel

By Anastasia: September 29th marks the Western Church’s feast day of St. Michael, while in the Eastern Church, he is honored on November 8th.

Regardless of the day you choose to celebrate, St. Michael stands as a powerful protector, guarding us against the dark forces that we may encounter in our lives on this earthly plane.

St. Michael is the patron saint of those who face danger, including members of the military, police officers, firefighters, and those working in perilous conditions. As a child, I was taught to call upon this great saint when faced with harm or danger. I learned early on that we are never truly alone—spiritual allies like St. Michael come alongside us, offering both psychic and physical support during challenging times.

While many angels can be called upon for help, St. Michael stands as the ultimate defender, a guardian we need now more than ever in today’s world. Recognizing the existence of a heavenly realm that we can access is essential for our spiritual growth. When we pray to St. Michael, we invoke the protection of this archangel, gaining the strength needed to safeguard both body and soul from the forces of evil.

Faith moves us from fear to hope and, ultimately, to joy. Keeping a small icon of St. Michael in your home or car can offer comfort during difficult times. Even the simple act of belief can open the door to miracles—if you struggle with belief, pray, “Help my unbelief,” and be open to the wonders that may unfold. Our bodies are miraculous, with every breath and heartbeat a testament to divine creation. Similarly, our thoughts shape our energy and well-being. If you are struggling with negative thoughts, call upon St. Michael to defend you from within and help you regain peace.

In moments of positivity, offer gratitude to the heavens, recognizing the universal truth of love that governs all creation. Be thankful for the blessings that surround you, for they too are gifts from the heavens. As you go through your days, pause to give thanks for the blessings in your life, and rest in the knowledge that St. Michael, our great defender, is always available to guide and protect you.

Dear readers, be at peace. The Universe is constantly showering you with love and light. In moments of trial or when feeling attacked, turn to St. Michael. Give your concerns to him, and trust that he will defend and protect you.
