As a traditional pagan, as well as a professional psychic and divinator, I work closely with the energy of the new moon\u2014especially during the spring solstice, also known as Ostara. This is a powerful time for inner work, renewal, and creating more intentional space for connection\u2014with ourselves and with those we love.<\/p>\n

As the seasons shift and the light returns, nature gently encourages us to do the same. What we often call \u201cspring cleaning\u201d is more than just a physical act\u2014it\u2019s an energetic reset.<\/p>\n

Clutter, dust, and disorganization in our homes, workspaces, cars, and surroundings don\u2019t just exist externally\u2014they subtly weigh on our minds. They create stagnation, fog, and overwhelm. When we clear our space, we also clear our energy, making room for focus, creativity, and emotional lightness.<\/p>\n

This is why the new moon is such a potent time to begin.<\/p>\n

Step One: Channeling & Cleansing<\/p>\n

Begin by setting a gentle reminder for the evening of the new moon (for example, April 17). This is when the moon\u2019s energy is most supportive for setting intentions and initiating change\u2014both physically and spiritually.<\/p>\n

Channeling doesn\u2019t need to be complicated.<\/p>\n

Take 10 minutes to:<\/p>\n

Sit in stillness
\nQuiet your mind
\nSet the intention to receive only positive, supportive energy
\nAllow yourself to simply be<\/p>\n

This moment of presence opens you up to the moon\u2019s natural, restorative energy.<\/p>\n

Once complete, move into a simple cleansing action within your space:<\/p>\n

Sweep a floor
\nDust a surface
\nTidy a small area<\/p>\n

To complete the energetic cleanse, seal your space with intention.<\/p>\n

Starting in the eastern corner, move through the space using your preferred method:<\/p>\n

Burning sage or palo santo
\nIncense (such as \u201ccome to me\u201d blends)
\nOr a smoke-free alternative like sage or lavender spray<\/p>\n

Finish by sprinkling a small amount of cinnamon near windowsills and doorways\u2014an age-old practice believed to invite protection and positive energy.<\/p>\n

This step symbolizes your commitment to a clear, protected, and energetically aligned environment.<\/p>\n

Step Two: The Connection List<\/p>\n

The second part of this ritual is just as important\u2014nurturing your relationships.<\/p>\n

Create a list of people who:<\/p>\n

Bring you joy
\nSupport your growth
\nEncourage your path<\/p>\n

Next to each name, write one activity you\u2019d genuinely enjoy doing together.<\/p>\n

Then\u2014take action.<\/p>\n

Reach out. Check in. Make plans.<\/p>\n

In a busy world, meaningful connection doesn\u2019t always happen by chance\u2014it requires intention. Strengthening your relationships is a powerful part of your personal and spiritual alignment. <\/p>\n
