By Sofia: A spectacular event is happening for the new moon in Sagittarius on December 4—a total solar eclipse. A grand, new moon is approaching, ripe for manifesting. Eclipses have the power to set up the next six months of our life. Thus, it is an excellent time to make a fresh start and turn over a new leaf.

The new moon on Dec 4 is a very potent new moon. The moon is Sagittarius opens a new chapter of optimism in your life, and the last solar eclipse of the year, closes a cycle of intentions that you set back in June 2020. Over the last one year and a half (June 2020-Dec 2021) there was a series of eclipses on the Gemini – Sagittarius axis. During this time we were called to trust, and develop trust and confidence in who we are. This is also the last Sagittarius eclipse until the next 9 years. So, it is about the conclusion of all the information we have absorbed in the past year and a half, how we are coming out of that, and our final decisions to make around those revelations.

The new moon in Sagittarius, resembling the traits of the natives born under this sign, calls for optimism, adventure, and freedom. Here are a few things you need to know about this New Moon Solar Eclipse:

1. Pure optimism and confidence in taking action

This solar eclipse is a very powerful point as the sun and moon conjunct. Something is coming forward for you to trust, embrace, and harness Sagittarius energies. It calls us to start or keep our positive habits, such as doing affirmations and practicing any form of self-care. What does it mean to you to take care of yourself? Do it.

This is the time when we are working with our ability to be good where we’re at, trust who we are now, trust the knowledge we have accumulated, and apply it to something motivational moving forward. We are allowing ourselves to create new beginnings, called to make substantial changes in our relationships, career, finances, and where we are in our life.

2. Express who you truly are

The astrological event on 4th of December asks us to break our self-imposed limitations, be honest with ourselves to speak nothing but the truth, break stagnant energies, and conquer our freedom. What this series of solar eclipses taught us is to be bold and express it! This is the conclusion of what we went through the past 18 months.

The truth is we are exactly where we need to be on the new moon of December 4. This is the beginning of a new chapter in your life. Be honest to speak your truth during this time, without denial and without escaping. Listen well to yourself, to your inner voice. This is a time of introspection, reflection, being open and vulnerable to let emotions come in to teach us the lessons we need to learn and accept. What do you really want? Are you getting what you want at the present? Welcome what is beginning to come in your life and not run away from it when it’s something that you want.

3. New beginnings and new endings

The solar eclipse happening on Dec 4 is a south-node eclipse, the node where the moon is nearest during the eclipse. With the moon nearest the south node, this is about release, endings, letting go, and allowing things to pass through and out of our lives.

This is a time that brings a lot of new beginnings so it is timely to reflect on what are the things we need to let go of. The message this astrological event is sending is that if you wanna move forward, something has to be let go of first, letting go of a thing in the past first. With the influence of Sagittarius energy, our perspective may be changing to something more meaningful and fulfilling. We let go of superficial, worldly pursuits, and instead, find what’s truly essential to our spiritual being.

A door has to close for another one to open. The solar eclipse event soon, is about cutting ties, separating, or creating distance. The process of letting go is speaking your truth, being really honest with yourself, knowing who you really are, honoring your energy, and flowing with your energy. Is your energy stagnant somewhere? It’s high time to let go of the fear of letting go of a friendship or relationship that no longer serves you. Move forward and flow freely. Cut the cords that no longer serve you and welcome new ties.

Try to be intentional as much and as honest as you can on the Solar Eclipse New Moon. When you come from a place of awareness and truthfulness, you will be more aligned when meeting your loved ones. Don’t be ashamed, nor feel guilty of your truth. Don’t hold back, listen to your body, listen to your inner voice. Set yourself free!
